Enjoy a Wine Tour in the Heart of Napa, California


Vineyard One of the many highlights in California is savoring the flavor of the grapes grown in the vineyards of Napa. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a novice, consider one of these sampling tours to please your palate.

Newton Vineyard

Visit award-winning Newton Vineyard where you’ll experience an exceptional tour and tasting. Your tour begins with a leisurely stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens then continues to the underground caves where the barrels of wine are stored. Throughout the tour, a knowledgeable Wine Ambassador will provide information about the vineyard’s history as well as the winemaking process.

Once the tour is complete, you’ll be taken to the tasting room where you’ll enjoy sampling several wines. For your convenience, tours are available in either the morning or afternoon.

Beaulieu Vineyard

At Beaulieu Vineyard, you will experience what is described as an elevated winery experience when taking one of their tours. With the Georges De Latour Legacy Tour and Library Tasting, you will enjoy five different vintages aged over several decades along with current samplings of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The tour also includes access to the wine cellar and a private tour of the Rutherford winery.

There’s also the 80th Anniversary Georges De Latour Experience, the Cabernet Collector Tasting, Classic Tasting, and a Wine Club Member Tasting menu for members. The vineyard is open for tours Friday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Beringer

Established in 1876, Beringer offers a variety of tours where you’ll experience the ambiance and elegance of the beautiful gardens, historic tunnels, tasting room, and Rhine House. The tours include the Old Winery Tasting Room with access to samplings of white and red wines, the 30-minute Legacy Cave Tour where you’ll be guided through the historic tunnels and enjoy a tasting of three wines.

At the Reserve Tasting Bar in the Rhine House, three tastings are available for the vineyard’s award-winning wines. The Taste of Beringer takes one hour and includes a tour of the sensory gardens then a wine tasting and culinary treats at the family kitchen in the Rhine House. For special events, there’s the hour-long Rhine House Private Seated Tasting, and the luxurious Library Lunch at the Hudson with select wines paired with a five-course lunch.

Chateau Montelena Winery

The 19th century Chateau Montelena is the perfect backdrop to immerse yourself in the history of the chateau that was built in 1888. The peaceful setting is ideal for the stone chateau that overlooks the vineyards, lake, and Chinese garden.

The winery is walk-in friendly from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for guests who want to enjoy tastings. For an in-depth tour experience, you can choose from several options available daily on select days. The daily tastings include the Montelena Estate Collection, A Taste of Montelena (by appointment), and the San Francisco Tasting Room. The select day offerings include the Library Tasting, Estate Tour and Tasting, Vineyard Tour and Tasting, and Cellarmaster Tasting for club members.
