Silver 2019 Ford F-150The Ford F-150 is an iconic pickup truck that seems to have been around forever. It’s a workhorse that gets things done and gives you a comfortable ride home afterward. There are good reasons the F-150 is still one of the most popular trucks in America. Find out more about why the 2019 Ford F-150 leads the way.

Configurations

You can tweak the 2019 Ford F-150 in a number of ways: two-wheel or four-wheel drive; regular, SuperCab, or Crew; and three bed lengths, depending on the cab choice, along with a plethora of options across the trims. Perhaps the biggest decision is which engine to get: the 3.3-liter V-6, the turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6, the 5.0-liter V-8, the 3.0-liter diesel V-6, or the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6.

The F-150 light-duty pickup is by far the most popular version of the F-Series. It’s been the best-selling pickup in North America for more than 40 years and the top seller among all cars and trucks in the United States for at least that long. It comes in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor trims. The combination of basic configurability and trim upgrades shows that Ford caters to a wide range of drivers.

The base XL trim is a solid basic truck, but the XLT is worth the step up. For sweet tech features, go for the Lariat or above. The truck’s design gets a little sharper in the King Ranch and higher trims. If you want all the driver-assistance features you can get to keep you family as safe as possible, go for the loaded Limited.

Modern Tech

There are plenty of healthy old F-150s on the roads that get by with a radio and a cassette player, but the 2019 F-150 has certainly changed with the times. Ford’s Sync3 infotainment system comes with an 8-inch touch screen in all trims except the base XL, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The screen has good responsiveness and sharp graphics for smooth use. Connect up to 10 devices with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot in the F-150, which also provides USB ports in both the front and back seats, along with a welcome 12-volt outlet.

Spaciousness

F-150 owners love the roominess in their favorite vehicles. Passengers in the 2019 model have ample space, and you’ll get loads of storage room, including clever hiding places. The center console can easily hold a purse or backpack — it’s even deep enough for a laptop, which is great if you often work out of your vehicle and need to do transactions online. You’ll appreciate deep, large door pockets, and taller items can be accommodated by folding up the rear seats. A bin under the rear seats provides even more storage.

Few vehicles have the enduring popularity of the Ford F-150. Made by an American automaker that carries the Henry Ford name, these vehicles are Built Ford Tough. For a closer look at the Ford F-150, test drive one today.
